Aberrant Dreams Update - Online Publishing Closed Until Further Notice

Hi All,

By now, many of you are wondering exactly what is going on at Aberrant Dreams, and why there has been little word from anyone regarding the status of things around here. To be honest, the lack of updates and communication can be attributed to one thing only: everyday life got in the way. Because of many factors, the priorities have constantly been shifting, and while I love Aberrant Dreams, and wish wholeheartedly for things to run smoothly and timely, updates to the web (and worse, the authors) have kept sliding out of control. Way out of control! The health issues I've mentioned in the past have kept me from focusing any of my free time I do have into Aberrant Dreams. And to be honest, there appears to be no change in this situation in sight.

Hi All,

For those interested, the following links are to our Dragon*Con picture galleries. You'll find sample images below. I hope you enjoy.

A Much Needed Update +

Hi All,

I just wanted to drop a line on here to let everyone know that we are not a dead market...really. Unfortunately, we are slow at the moment.

Several other projects are nearing complete: Aberrant Dreams I, The Awakening (which is actually done and off to the printer!!) and Tree of Bones, By Verna McKinnon (The sequel to Gate of Souls) to name but a couple. These have devoured a lot of my time of late, and it has slowed down Aberrant Dreams, which I hope to rectify very soon now that the Anthology is complete.

Submissions are now closed! +

Hi All,

I just wanted to let everyone know that I have closed submissions as I begin finalizing the story and poem selections for the next year. For those of you still awaiting answer to your story, that will be coming over the next couple of weeks. Until then, best of luck to everyone!

Sincerely,

Joe

The Anthology--Yet Again! 4

Hi All,

I just wanted to make a note about this. I've been speaking with my copy editor about how much remains to finish for Aberrant Dreams I, the Awakening, and he has assured me that things are nearly complete. By his own words, I should have the completed stories back by the second week of April, since he will be on spring break and expects to have the time to complete the work.

Podcast Transition Complete +

Hi All,

The podcasts as presented on the previous website have now been transitioned to this new site as well. You can view them through the link at the top menu bar which links to the following URL:

  • Podcasts
  • Anyway, just thought you'd like to know.

    Sincerely,

    Joe

    New Stories Available +

    Hi All,

Just a quick update. As Aberrant Dreams gets the next batch of new fiction ready for posting, I thought I'd make a quick update to include a couple of lesser known short tales published before 1920. You can find them at the following links:

    - The Kennel, By Maurice Level

    - The Debt Collector, By Maurice Level

    Aberrant Dream Redesign Continuing! +

    Hi All,

The Aberrant Dreams redesign is continuing as planned. Since re-opening at our new URL, as I'm sure you can see, the webcomics page has been created, and several comics have been added as well. The remaining will be added over time. Also, the news link has been removed since A section for news has now been added to the front page. This will help clean up or top menu bar for the inclusion of the podcasts and the new photography section. More details on these as they arrive.

    Connooga Post Mordem +

    Hi All,

Thanks to all of the fans that came out to see us at Connooga this past weekend. We had an absolute blast, and look forward to doing it again next year. If you enjoyed any of our panels--10 Biggest Mistakes New Writers Make, Fiction in a Flash, Movie Monster Battle Royale, Authors Round Table, Sci-Fi Jeopardy, Putting the Chill in Horror, and Self-Publishing vs. Traditional Publishing (yes, I was a busy boy this past weekend)--then please comes see us again when were back in town.

    Website Launch! +

It has been a long time coming, but the new Aberrant Dreams website now has enough content therein in order to launch.
